Automating the creation of a VPN Connect

By dwight.mcdonald ·
Does anyone know of a way of automating the creation of a VPN dial-up networking connectiod for a Windows 95 machine? My company is in the process of switching 500 of our dial-up field sales laptops to VPN. If we could build a simple script or executable to create the VPN dial-up connectiod, that would greatly help the conversion.
Thanks In Advance.

I think Windows uses .dun files to store Dialup connections. Try copying it and create shortcuts from it ;-)

If you want to be able to click an icon to start the connection, make a shortcut to the connection icon by dragging it from your Dialup Networking folder to the desktop.

If you want the connection to start automatically, then drag the icon to your "C:\windows\start menu\programs\startup" directory. If you have a dialup ISP for your internet connection, you will need to drag that icon in there as well.
