  The answer is yes. In fact, I can’t think of any part of the automotive industry that hasn’t. Automation is synonymous with cars (Ford) means that it is impossible to separate the rise of computer automation (therefore digitization) from car manufacture.
  In service and sales, now many companies are working in developing POS software solutions, as well as cloud based technologies to link together different (but connected) sites; such as car dealers.
