Award Bios Flash Updates

I am currently looking to flash my bios as it extremely out of date and I want to get the best out of my hardware. I have an Award Motherboard which is dated 29/11/1999. I have tried the Award Website for a flast update but to of no avail. Pleasecan somebody tell me where to get a flashupdate formy board ? Details are :
11/29/1999-MBKMVP4-BKMVP4C-00

Don't go to AWARD

If you want to update your BIOS you have to go to manufacturer's website, and look for BIOS update for specificaly your model of motherboard.

Yep, the previous post is exactly right. I just flashed my AwardBIOS last week, as a matter of fact. When I went to Award (I called them, too, actually), they wanted to sell me the entire BIOS chip for $70. I was like, "Hmmm, that can't be right; I should just be able to flash it."

So the long and the short of it is, yes, you have to find out the manufacturer of your motherboard (I think my was ASUS), and then get the correct flash update from there.

Can't Find motherboard manufacturer

Thanks for your help guys, but I have tried finding out the manufacturer of my motherboard including taking my pc apart but there was no visible names. Is there a program I canrun that will tell me this info ?

What chipset is the board??

Does the board have a recognisable chipset, ie:VIA or Intel??
Also, check the serial number!! Usually the model of board is present somewhere in the serial number!!
