backing up across the network

by msfiroudis . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

I recently installed a hard drive on a computer as a fat32.I partioned it so 1 partion is 5 gig and the other is 32 gig.Is there any reason that I would not be able to backup across the network a file from a ntfs partion to the fat32 partioned with 33gig. The file I’m backup is a 17 gig file not compressed.I could backup other files that are approx. 8 gig each with out a problem and there is plenty of room on the 33 gig to back it up on… any help would be appreciated. I understand that I may be overtaxing the network for an extended period and connection is timing out during the transfer.
But is there any way around this. I can’t split the file…
