What operating system?
What version of office?
Do you only want to save your outlook and my docs, or your entire profile? (application data, favorites etc)
Do you want to transfer data from one machine to another on the network for backup, or just copy the data off one machine to make a duplicate on the newly formatted machine?
Can you burn CDs?
Is the main system still functional?
Can the two units currently communicate with each other?
Why reformat?
Going to another operating system?

Export your .pst

In Outlook, from File, export a file. Then export your .pst, selecting to export your mailbox AND its sub-folders to a location of your choice.
When you have rebuilt, import from that location.
