Backup using Tapeware 6.2 SP3

Please dont laugh at me. My job is on the line if i do not resolve this before Friday.

Whenever i run a job i receive an error:
The job has been terminated.
Error 88: no devices specified or all devices are now offline.
it then gives an analysis of the job and continues with this:
there are no devices that can possibly meet the requirements for the job to complete. if any devices were specified, they are marked as “dead” due to communication failure, device failure e.t.c.
My Machine runs Windows 2000 Advanced Server and it uses a sure store 24 internal tape drive with tapeware as the backup software. It is also my data storage server
