Backup your data with Second Copy

by gregmitchell2k . Updated 22 years, 10 months ago

Several articles I read this week suggest that one should use a second hard disk to backup their data files. In additional to the local hard disk backups, one should also backup the data to a remote computer or to a removable media for offsite storage. I researched and tried over a dozen backup utilities and I settled on Second Copy. It is the easiest and the best designed automatic backup utility in its class. You can schudule the backup jobs daily, at a certain time, on startup as well as at shutdown. It also has a built-in compression utility that can compress files to save disk space. Once you setup the Second Copy profiles, you simply sit back and be assured that you will always have a “second copy” safe somewhere else. You can checkout their evaluation version at http://www.secondcopy.com And the best part is that it is under $30.
