Bad big block mountiong a partition

By e.peake ·
I have recently installed Linux (Red Hat 5.0) onto my system and have duel boot between the two. Linux will not allow me to mount the Win 98 partition and complains about a bad Big Block.

Can any one help me solve this issue / explain why it is happening.

Thanks

Maybe you must recompile the modules/kernel to support fat32 filesystem or upgrade kernel from rpm package

The kernel has vfat suport compiled as a module, typing lsmod brings shows that vfat is loaded.

Sorry my mistake the actual error reports a bad superblock and not a big block
