bad partion on c: & d:

after updating norton 2003, i shut the computer down .
when i booted it, it started hanging in windows, i switched it off then back on. it then failed to get to windows. i started it with from a start up diskette, accessed c: & d: but could show the actual
contents. it was showing c;\raspore no drive c: & 'damage bad file allocation table on d:. on scandisk it said boot sector too full, move some files.

Ok you can boot using floppy, I hope your using a boot disk that allows access to cdrom. If this is so you can use norton to check the harddrives and try to fix the drives as norton has better resources than scandisk. If this step doesn't work to repair the drives goto www.powerquest.com or www.highergroundsoftware.com for the tools to fix your problem. the second reference has specific free trial available.
