BAD Sector

By subash_sathyanathan ·

My computer hard disk is not properly booting because of bad sectors, IS there is any free softwares available in the web sites to remove the bad sectors.

I think these bed sectors occurs due to voltage fluctuation, so I is there is any way to avoid voltage fluctuation.

Thank You,

The web site of the disk manufacturer should have a test

program to check the disc out. You can stop power fluctuations with a good UPS (Interruptible Power Supply) unit, or a power leveling unit. However, one thing to keep in mind, when any drive starts to develop bad sectors, for any reason, it's likely to have more troubles in the near future. I never risk important data on such a drive, safe to dump and replace.

Western Digital Data Lifeguard. But I agree with Deadly Ernest, it's probably time to replace your hard disk drive with a new one.
