I’m currently on a project to select a new backup solution for our company. We are currently running ArcServe Brightstor to a DELL Powervault 8-tape LTO-2 storage unit. Were currently backing up 10TB’s a month.
Our focus is to go with a disk to disk solution with replication capability to write to a remote location. Raid 6, and can be scalable to 5 years of growth.
My questions are..
1) What’s the best software used to date? and why?
2) What’s the best hardware to date?
