Adapter specifications

by mjd420nova In reply to best replacement for a Ga ...

Somewhere on the body of the adapter is the specs for input and output. Pass close attention to the output specs. How many volts and how much current. Maybe something like 6 volts DC and 1.2 amps or 1200 MA. Look at Radio Shack for one with the same voltage but that will supply more current. This will insure you will not be overtaxing the supply leading to early death. You could look closely at the diagram to see which is positive and which is negative on the connector and slice that cable right onto the new one.

Buy a replacement from Gateway.com

You'll generally have the best luck if you replace parts with what the original manufacturer is recommending. You can get help here:

Got to be something like that to dig up a 15-month-old thread.

Wait, forget history, is it Archaeology ?

Or Forensics ?

Or Divining maybe ? :^0
