This is just a general question for I am trying to find out what you all think as to two different server manufacturers. I have the option of getting some new servers and one of my best supplies sells IBM’s xSeries and HP’s NetServer series. Bear in mind, my boss and a company that we get a lot of software from is pushing toward the HP’s.
So, my question to you all is, between these two, what are your recommendations and why? I will be running large SQL databases and a few apps and these databases will be constantly accessed from about 30 to 50 users. We’re an operator center.
Any advice would be welcomed as my experience is with Dell, Gateway and Compaq. Thanks.
