What do you mean with format, and why do you think there is a best?
As an example, take a random business and go and study the sites of its 5 main competitors. Then see what different formats they have and which of those you find best and why.
But it’s not sure that the criteria you used for ranking the quality of the sites are a good choice for ranking sites for a totally different business.Anyway, studying the sites of your competitors is a very useful step to determine what features your site (and maybe your business) needs. For example, if you sell something and all your competitors offer the option to pay with bitcoins and have 5 years of warranty on their products, you know what to do with your site and your service.
You might even come to the conclusion that how your site looks isn’t that important. -

The best website format depends on the specific needs and goals of the website, as well as the preferences of its target audience. However, there are some general guidelines that can help create an effective website format:
Clean and uncluttered layout: A clean, uncluttered layout makes it easier for visitors to navigate the site and find what they are looking for.
Clear navigation: A clear navigation menu is essential for helping visitors find their way around the site.
Consistent branding: Consistent branding, including color scheme, typography, and imagery, helps to create a cohesive look and feel for the website.
Mobile responsiveness: A website that is optimized for mobile devices is essential, as more and more people access the internet on their smartphones and tablets.
Fast load times: Visitors are less likely to stay on a website that takes a long time to load, so optimizing page speed is important.
Accessible design: Designing a website that is accessible to all visitors, including those with disabilities, is important for creating a positive user experience.
Overall, the best website format is one that is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to what is the best website format, as it depends on the specific needs and goals of the website. However, there are some common website formats that are widely used and can be effective for different types of websites:
Single-page website: This type of website is designed to fit all the content on a single page, making it easy for visitors to scroll down to find what they need. This format is often used for smaller websites, portfolios, and landing pages.
Multi-page website: A multi-page website has separate pages for different sections and categories of content, making it easier to organize and navigate. This format is commonly used for larger websites, such as e-commerce sites, blogs, and corporate websites.Blog format: A blog format typically features a series of posts in reverse chronological order, with the most recent post appearing first. This format is ideal for websites focused on delivering regular, new content, such as news websites, personal blogs, and educational websites.
Magazine-style format: A magazine-style website features a combination of static pages and dynamic content in a visually appealing layout. This format is often used for lifestyle websites, news and entertainment websites, and e-commerce sites with a focus on visual content.
Ultimately, the best website format depends on the specific goals and needs of the website. It’s important to consider factors such as the type of content, the target audience, and the website’s purpose when deciding on the most effective website format.
