BIOS - Logo

By hydveda ·
Hello Guys,

I wanted to ask whether if anyone knows how do one change the logo which appears at system startup. Just like Compaq OR Dell does. As soon as we start up the system the logo appears and then the computer boots up.
Secondly, Is it possible to get the company logo on My Computer Properties ??? Again like Dell or Compaq with the processor speed and Memory.
Do we need to use any special kind of software for that?? If yes can anyone please tell me where can i download that from?

The logo that displays on boot is programmed in the BIOS for either the motherboard or video card.

To change it, you would need to have a custom BIOS code created for you.

You might check with

Expect to pay at least $70 (US) per BIOS code. You will need a different BIOS code for each different motherboard used in your PCs.

As to the graphics displayed on System Properties, that you can change.

Here is a link to a utility that can do the registry edits for you:

Hi Chas, Thank you for your help. The second link which you gave me contains the software only which can be used only on win98/95. Can you recommend any software for XP and 2000??
