    Bios update on a old computer

    I trying to update the bios for an old computer of mine and i searched up on the internet how to update the bios and it tells me to use the Ez flash tool on bios but my pc doesn’t have that tool. Is it possible for me to update the bios still and if so how?

    My motherboard is an Asus P5WDG2-WS

      The instruction on how to do it should be on the Asus support site you download it from. Nowhere else.

      The last BIOS update was in 2008.

      From the Asus support page it could be version 0905 and the note writes it added support for the Wolfdale CPU ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfdale_(microprocessor) )

      My advice is to not update since it won’t add any significant features that might enable Windows 11 support, TPM or anything else. The computer in question when encountered is usually a good choice to install Linux so the owner could use Chrome till the machine expires.
