Go to the ACER site and track down the appropriate upgrade

      Try this link:

      support.acer-euro.com/drivers/utilities.html

      Or, for the Pakistan area:

      http://www.bios-drivers.com/drivers/56/56101.htm

Note: the bios updates might be listed according to model of computer.

No idea what’s going on, my Seagate 60GB just will not let the system load.
the problem is dealing with non support of large hard drives.

Your original post was regarding updating your Acer BIOS.

I directed you to 2 sites that feature suitable updates.

You are now posting with a hard drive problem.

Is this the same machine or a different one?
Have you updated the BIOS yet?

I don’t understand – 60GB is not a large hard drive – it is almost the smallest you can get.

How does the hard drive prevent the system from loading?

          We need much more information:

          What model is your computer?
          What processor?

What was your original reason for updating your BIOS?
