Bitlocker doesn’t give me option to save recovery key to Microsoft account

In general, when saving the recovery key, there is an option “Save to your Microsoft account”. I don’t have that option. I only have save to a USB or print the key.

Does it have something to do with me being connected to my organization’s network and not having access to that option? Can anyone direct me to where I would go in order to enable this option? I have admin access but I just don’t know where to look for this specific thing for Bitlocker.

Also, talk to your IT if you feel this is incorrect but from my experience this is normal. That is, it doesn’t work the same as a personal PC.

Also, why not save to the USB then copy it up to your cloud later?

For your first sentence, that does make a little bit of sense. Maybe it can’t be enabled at all. Will discuss with IT eventually but just wanted to hear out a second opinion.

I can save it on a USB and save it to cloud later. It’s just the Microsoft account is a lot more convenient in my case, but since that might not be possible I will consider it.
