Blacklisted client

By NateH ·
Hi all,

I have just taken on a client that is on an email blacklist due to the previous IT person's poor system handling. They are having trouble sending emails out and I was wondering if there is any way to get "de-listed" once you get on these lists.

There are many Spam lists out there. Do you know which ones are blocking your client? Here are a few of the services:

Are the messages getting bounced back?
If so have a look at the header information and find out which servers are bouncing his mails.
Maybe a direct mail to the Admins and a sob story might get him unbarred.

i would seek help with hat in hand from my isp. if you do not understand completely the reasons why you got blacklisted, nobody will be willing to un-blacklist you. search the internet for more information on this. ask 'would it be possible' and make darn sure you are not meeting spammer criterea like not having a mailing list with and easy way to get off and not having your physical address posted on your website

Good Luck if it is SORBS. I do not believe this blacklist is maintained anymore but lots of people use it. We have been trying to get removed from them for 6 months. Sent multiple requests from us and our ISP. We were blocked b/c for some stupid reason they believe we have a Dynamic IP instead of a Static. All I have to say is Good Luck to you!
