Blank dialogue boxes Windows 10

Dialogue boxes have recently shown a blank space where yes should be. I tried sfc /scannow which repaired corrupted files. DISM did not find any corrupted files. The issue still persists. Any ideas?

As I read over prior discussions at https://www.google.com/search?&q=Blank+dialogue+boxes+Windows+10 the bad news is it’s not always the same fix or cause. But this is not a new issue. Use past discussions and what you know about this PC to pick which to try next.

of those suggestions on Google with no luck. It’s not a big deal as I see the no box so the blank one must be yes. Thanks again for your help, Bob, take care.

There must be a clue how this occurred.

Also, Windows has a “System Restore” so that would be my first try. I would do that before any SFC/DISM or such.

Apparently this problem is only occurring with the Thunderbird email client. I thought this was happening with all dialogue boxes but other programs seem to be working fine.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird but it still had the problem. Thunderbird doesn’t seem to have support anymore.
I tried this email client called Mailbird and it’s working fine. So I would say problem solved.

Your basic uninstall and reinstall of apps may not be good enough. Here’s a link (there are many others) about how to really clean off Thunderbird:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1162516And notice the link’s name. It has support in it.
