Blank From: and subject in Outlook

Hi,

I have a user complaining about receiving email messages that appears to be blank. When in the inbox view, an email will appear but it has no subject or sender name in the From field. This only happens for internal mail and from this one sender to the one recipient. Everyone else appears to be working fine. The problem seems to be only in inbox view. When the email is open, everything are all there (subject:, from: and to:). Has anybody seen this before? If so, how I can fix this?

The recipient is using Outlook 2000 and the sender is using Outlook XP. They both are on Windows 2000 pro. The recipient also complains that when new mail come from the blank sender, there are no email notification (envelope in the lower right hand side) of new email. Please help!

Both the sender and the recipient are on the local Exchange server?

Run a check of the mail store if they are.

To BFilmFan: Yes. We only have one Exchange server in our domain. The Exchange server is 2003 installed on windows 2003 server.
