Blocked attachments in Outlook 2000

By jrricha ·
How do I unblock attachments in Outlook 2000? I checked MS's Knowledge Base, but the workaround they provided is very kludgy, to say the least. I have heard there is a registry key that can be edited to disable this most annoying feature.

Outlook 2000 especially Outlook Xp implements the Object Guard. What this does is automatically block potentially unsafe attachments (usually those that are executables). MS Outlook has been a target for various attacks recently so they have been strict especially with executable attachments. One workaround is to zip your executable attachments (.exe, .com, .vbs) before you attach it.

The supplied link was very informative... and it decided me-- I'm evaluating other EMail packages as we speak.
