I tried to start the computer with the Window XP CD that came with my desktop. It did not work; I got the same message and blue screen. Any Advice from anybody will greatly be appreciated.

Need to post what is on the BSOD

by w2ktechman In reply to Blue Screen

There are 3 key parts to an BSOD error
the error itself (example: KERNAL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR). these are all upper case characters with underscores between words.
Then the stop message (example: stop:0x0000007A and another 4 sets like this in parenthesis).
and finally the file which caused the error (if listed) can help to determine the problem as well. After the stop message it may appear with "in file ntoskrnl.exe" or another file name.

Aside from that, what were you using when it happened, and what have you tried so far.

Have you unplugged any/all external devices besides keyboard, mouse, monitor?
Have you recently installed something?
Have you recently browsed hacker sites?
Have you recently browsed un-trusted sites?

lots of questions, please go into further detail. Thanks in advance

Agree, and...

Obviously, I have been big on this CD lately as I have used it after some serious crashes of my own. Try booting using the Ultimate Boot CD from and do some diags and registry cleaning. See if anything there may also help, but try to investigate the BSOD errors first. It may be something simple from such a cryptic message.

Help. What about this error....

by foranyonebutyou In reply to Need to post what is on t ...

My computer recently started shutting itself down, coming up with the kernal_stack_inpage_error (all uppercase) but with the 0x00000077(0xc0000185,0xc0000185,0x00000000,0x01d06000) stop message and now my monitor will not work.
