    Blue Screen Error Help!

    I just built a new computer, updated Windows XP as much as I can and I get this blue screen error message that reads:

    ?A problem has been detected and windows had to be shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_OR_LESS_EQUAL

    If this is the first time you have seen?..

    Check to make sure and new hardware?.

    If problems continue, disable or remove??..

    Motherboard: Asus M2NPV-VM.
    Video: onboard
    Audio: onboard
    CPU: AMD A64 X2 2.4G
    HDD: 400G Samsung SATA2
    CD1: Samsung DVD Burner SATA
    CD2: Mad Dog DVD Burner (using the old standard connection)
    PSU: Cool Master 500W

    I have updated everything I can think of. Can anyone help me solve this?

      This is a hardware issue. A popluar slution psoted for this is to DL a linux hardware diagnostic distrabution and run that to find out what your hardware error is, try checking you got all the cablels connected properly, for example of you are using IDE drives make sure the red lin on the cable is matched to pin 1 on the HDD of CDROM. or jsut unplaug one of your cdroms, and see if onw of those is causing the error, you could also of configured the msaters and slaves wrong, if your divces have jumper settings make sure you dont have to slaves or to master connect with the same cable, you may aslo have to configure this in the bios.
