I've been getting BSODs lately with my computer. I am running Windows 7.

I have run CHKDSK and installed Windows Updates.

There are several reasons on why does BSOD happens, one thing is you probably installed a new hardware on your computer which turns into compatibility issues on your machine, you may try to uninstall the newly hardware installed and restart. It may also depends on the updates that you have installed, you may restore your system to earlier restore points and see if it works. Try pressing F8 key while BIOS loads and enter LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION option. And lastly, you may directly search the error code on the BSOD to google for suggestions. (error code looks like: 0x00000...)
