Book Recomendations

By figrsk8r ·
I volunteer at a private school that is running win 2k pro server and this summer got 150 XP machines. I support the client side, installing software, checking policies, networking printers, and basic trouble shooting. Can anyone recommend a good book to take to school that outlines all the new features in XP for network management? I need more of an administrators guide. I use XP at home, but don't utilize the networking features such as remote desktop and the console features. Would be nice if it touched on running 2003 as I will be setting up a new network in the next few weeks elsewhere. Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Book out there are too thick to browse and way too many of them as well.

O'Reilly Publishing

by TheChas In reply to Book Recomendations

Over the years, I have found the books published by O'Reilly to be the most useful.

They are not written for the average user, but for someone who already understands what they are doing and just needs a little help and information.
