Yesterday my desktop computer (that was on) monitor (Gateway LCD) displayed a mosaic of green and black. The desktop is Gateway with Win XP Professional. I turned the computer off (hard shut down by turning off the power). I restarted, the key board lights up but nothing else happens, although the computer power comes on. The mouse (optical)light is off as well. No image on the monitor and nothing happens. I have tried another monitor but no effect. I disconnected the monitor and started the system. The monitor goes to self test and displays “No Signal.” I am wondering if I have a hard disk failure since the fan is on and I suspect the power supply is OK. Could anyone help?
