Bootable CD

I have a few general questions about creating a bootable cd. First off I should tell you I am attempting to put an .exe file that runs by itself onto a bootable cd. I have the free program CDBurnerXP and would like to know if this is possible. There is an option in the software that allows for creating a bootable cd but it is very confusing. What has me confused is the text box asking for the ‘path to boot image’ and another box asking for ’emulation type’. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me definitions on what they mean and instructions about what to enter. Appreciate it.
