    Bootup

    Locked

    by teaver123 ·

I have a Gigabyte Durable Plus motherboard and I don’t know how to boot off a CD or USB stick. Its based on UEFI but after loading a shell efi file to boot off it I ran into problems.

The original option of booting on the hard drive disappeared but Windows 11 still loaded. I don’t get how stupid UEFI is but it needs some updating so I can install multiple operating systems without bugs.

(UEFI HDD name is MEMUP PMAP Partition 1)

      Hello,

To boot from a CD or USB stick on your Gigabyte Durable Plus motherboard with UEFI, restart your computer and press Del repeatedly to enter the UEFI/BIOS setup. Ensure that the system is set to UEFI mode by navigating to the Boot tab and confirming the Boot Mode is set to UEFI. Insert your CD or USB stick, then go back to the Boot tab and locate the Boot Option Priorities. Set your CD/DVD drive or USB stick as the first boot option by using the arrow keys. Save your changes by pressing F10 and exit the UEFI/BIOS setup. Your computer should now boot from the CD or USB stick.

      Best Regard,
