bootup error

While booting win 2k an error msg comes on the command prompt “Boot.ini is corrupted, booting from c:\win.ini”. Win 2k boots up and functions normally. Removed the full installation and re-installed win2k from scratch, i still get the same problem. Though it is not a problem, it is irritating to see an error msg.
