browse in same window using office 2003 and vista

By markw ·
I am trying to find out how i can get Word and Excel 2003 documents to open in their own programs rather than the web browser on Vista.
I used to untick "Browse in same window" in the advanced section of File Types in XP but i haven't been able to find it in Vista.

I have found the file association section in Vista but it doesn't have it there.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Open the Registry Editor by typing 'regedit' in the Start Search box.

I was given this answer from another forum.
For excel go to Excel.Sheet.8
In the registry, navigate to:

In the right-hand pane, create a new REG_DWORD value named 'BrowserFlags' and give it a value of '8'
