Browsers not accessing web pages, only search results...

By Ratcatcher2000 ·

I am having two problems, maybe they're related...

First, Chrome and Firefox are not accessing web pages, only the search results. When I click on a search result (or a bookmarked page) I get a blank loading screen which goes on foreever....

Not sure if this is related to the Conduit bar I have inadvertently installed... Dopey I know, but I'm npot the techiest person in the world and think it may have come from Bit Torrent or some such. Anyway, I need to fix this problem fast, plese help!

Probably a virus.

Try malwarebytes, spybot, or any other reputable antimalware program.

If you do NOT have the same problem with web pages in safe mode, then it is almost certainly a virus.

Try CNET for download points. Download these programs from a 'clean' computer onto a flash drive, install, and see what happens.
