BSNL ADSL Modem Errors

By shakespear.joy ·
Can't somebody help me in the bsnl router config it is said that i need to goto 192.168.1.1
and make some changes there .
but the problem is that i can't access that page.i also have a laptop it has intel lancard while my pc has realtek lancard.
As diagnosis of go they fell that my RT lancard isn't working but i think that it is working properly.
And also i am able to access the same through my laptop!.
Can anybody tell what the actual problem is ?

Access that page you need to plug the router into your laptop via the cable provided, you then need to go to your network settings and configure your network card to use the address rage as 192.168.1.* then fill in the sub net 255.255.255.255 then close out of it, open a web page then type 192.168.1.1 you will be able to access the page in question.

So whats the problem with the Desktop machine then, you think that the network card on the pc is not working, have you checked to see if it's enable and have you checked the device manager to see if it's working ok try that out this will let you no if the Network card is messed up hope this helps.
