Budget friendly laptop for JAVA Minecraft

    by cazzajess ·

Can anyone recommend a budget/cheap laptop that my daughter will be able to play the JAVA version of minecraft? I.e one that preferably covers their recommended system requirements over their minimum requirements? Also, are refurb laptops ok if bought from site with warranty etc. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Is that folk are all over the map as to what it takes to run JAVA Minecraft. Long ago my kid played this on an AMD A8 APU powered laptop. It ran OK. Today another family member plays it on a behemoth of a desktop with Core i7 9th gen, 32GB RAM, RTX 2080 graphics card and all SSD drives (about a 2 thousand dollar gamer rig.) Also has the usual 1440p 144Hz gaming monitor.

I think you need to think over where in this spread of machines you want to be.

As to refurbs, I work with my brother on his office laptops and we only buy refurbs. We’ve been doing that for over a decade now and saved a lot of money. But as you can guess we don’t need gaming laptops. Gaming laptops are often what you don’t buy used as gaming is quite the load and wears down the machine.

https://www.google.com/search?&q=minecraft+on+i5+graphics+laptop finds folk that run minecraft on what I consider the bare minimum laptops.

To run this game, you need a laptop to meet the minimum requirements. Such as Intel Core i3-3210 / AMD A8-7600 APU, 2 GB of free memory, preferably DDR3 1333 MHz, and any video card that supports OpenGL 1.3 API and VBO, ie OpenGL 1.5. I think you should pay attention to such models as Lenovo IdeaPad 3 or Acer Nitro 5. They meet the requirements of the game and have a low cost.
