CAD Program

By peter ·
I want to find a 'low cost' CAD drawing program that will enable the import of AutoCAD files with .dxf extensions.
The program only needs to be quite simple, just 2D capability, and easy to use for a retired person.
My thanks to you all for reading this.

Peter

Here are some other Links:

The last link is for the free 2D version of Solid Edge. They are now concentrating only on the 3D software.

I have used Visual Cadd from TriTools and find it to be a very good program. It started life many years ago as Generic Cadd and competed directly with AutoCad in the late 1980's.

Hi Peter,

Try this free 30 trial: http://cadmechanic.com/progecad2009/pcad2009proeng.exe

Very inexpensive, yet very powerful and intuitive CAD program.
