Can an email get stuck

By Patrick Horn ·
I just got this message from one of our users: Help. This file has been sent like 15 times to my wife. Can you clear the email spool on the server?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can I look into this? I'm running Exchange 2000 on a server 2000 box. I've never had to look into anything like this before. Thanks.

Go to System Manager>Email Organization (probably your server name)>servers>your server>protocols>smtp>smtp virtual server>queues
If you recognize the domain of the stuck or reoccuring email, use the MS article below to purge the queue (email spool)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314327

If you're unfamiliar with system Manager and where the SMTP queues are, the screenshot (second from the bottom ) should help.
