Can anyone recommend a disk scanner?

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good windows program (freeware or shareware) that will do a disk scan similar to Norton Disk Doctor.

Specifically I need it to check and show bad sectors and show whether a file is actually using that sector.

Also it should optionally allow you to try and fix bad sectors.

I would like it to be able to process FAT and NTFS.

I don’t want to get Symantec’s suite and pay for lots of things I don’t need.

Any recommendations would be most appreciated.
