Can I get live updates on my Android Custom Lock Screen ?

I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to get live updates directly on my Android lock screen without having to unlock my phone every time. Like stuff about the weather, sports scores, or even news. I’m kinda new to using custom lock screens, so thought I’d ask here. Anyone knows how this works or got tips?

    I’ve heard about lock screen widgets before, but I didn’t realize they could do all that! Thanks for the tip. I’ll check out the Play Store for sure. But I kinda thought there might be a more built in way like something Android already has without downloading extra stuff? Maybe I’m just overthinking it though lol. Appreciate the suggestion!
