Can i use Netmeeting to speak with someone abroad on their office PCs?

By timtom786 ·
I have friends & relatives abroad who use their home as well as office PCs. Is it possible for us to use Windows Netmeeting to voice chat on their home & office PCs?

If yes, please can any1 also inform about the exact configuration set-ups which may be required for same as i am very new to all this?

Just for info i use cable internet connection & am not sure about the opposite parties.

Cheers !

Tim

If these are Home PC's with Net Meeting Installed

Yes I suppose that it's possible but you'll need a few things before you can do this. Most people use a Web Cam with an inbuilt Mic so they can not only hear but see the other party/s.

Setting up the Web Cam is as per the Destruction Manual and then you need to setup Live Meeting to accept the Web Cam and set the Mic Levels which is done by running through the setup process. All that is required depending on which version of Net Meeting that you have installed is to click on Tools and in the Drop Down Menu Video and Voice Setup and follow the prompts.
