Since I upgraded from Win ME to XP Home on my personal machine, I can only RIP CDs in Windows Media Player. I used to use RealOne and RealJukebox. I’ve tried several programs and they all act like there is no CD in the drive. Yet I can see the CDs in Explorer and when I double click on them RealOne is launched. And WMP sees the CD files just fine and records them. I’d be OK with this, but the song database that Microsft uses is not as complete as CDDB and is full of erros. And don’t get me started on the “qualities” of WMP. I’ve written to Real’s tech support, but they haven’t had anything useful to say so far. Has anyone seen anything like this? I try not to be paranoid, but it suspicious that the only programme I can use to record from CDs is MS’s own. Thanks, JiM
