Can the GAL be browsed from OWA?

By elainer ·
We are using Outlook Web Access 2000 on an Windows 2000 IIS 5.0 server with Exchange 5.5 sp 3 on a NT 4.0 server. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to browse the Global Address Book from Outlook Web Access? I could only find the Find Names option and the Check Names button when composing a new message.
Thanks,
Elaine

Can the GAL be browsed from OWA?

That is the only way in Exchange5.5, you are not using OWA 2000, unless you have exchange 2000. OWA is limited to the number of email addresses that you can see via check name. The entire GAL is not browsable by the OWA application. Only certain subsets are returned, but the user must supply some information for a search to be executed via Check Names. I haven't tried OWA 2000 yet, but they say it is more robust than OWA EXCH5.5. Hope this helps.
