Vaio monitor is gone, done (except for backlight). We’ve successfully used a new external monitor, until it was switched out (used by another apple laptop). When we reattached it to the Vaio – which has a backlight but the whole screen is liquid – the external monitor didn’t register. Fn key hasn’t toggled the monitor – can’t open in safe mode – as there is no screen on the vaio to work with and the external monitor isn’t waking up. Any suggestions for smart keys or a way to tell the Vaio to do a clean boot? in which it will search for hardware attached.
