hi. i’m trying to add a network printer onto an XP machine. the printer is connected to another XP machine on the network.
when i go to add a printer i can see the printer in the find a printer wizard but when i try to add it box appears asking me to enter the username and password to log into the XP machine which has the printer locally attached to it. so i type in the network administrator username and password and then after a while an error message comes up saying that windows is unable to connect to the printer and that the operation could not be completed.
please help.
