Cannot find file - error message

By gideon.goldstein ·
I am trying to install a third party application (2006). During the process I receive the following error message:

"cannot find file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\pftFD~tmp\DISK1\setup.exe or one of its components"

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2

Thank you

Have you checked the file path yet? ...

Installers don't usually make mistakes regarding missing files.

You should check in the listed folder for the missing file, then check up or down a level in case it resides elsewhere. If you find it, you can copy it to where the installer expects to find it. Then try installing again.

The file is there and when I click on it - I get the same error.

Also, when I re-run the setup file again, It installs in a similarly named folder (directory) and generates the same error.

There is little we could do to replicate your situation.

What is the significance of the '(2006)' that you originally posted??
