I have two desktop computers, a network printer, and two laptops. One desktop computer is running XP while all the others, regretfully, are running Vista. Everything is connected through a Linksys router.
Before I connected the Linksys router, I used a Netgear router and everything connected fine. There is a story behind why I switched but I won’t go into that.
Now that I am using the Linksys router, the Vista desktop connects to all computers just fine. The XP machine only sees the Vista desktop. The laptops see the Vista computers but NOT the XP machine.
My printer can be seen and pinged from the desktop computers but not the laptops. My big issue is getting the printer to work from the laptops.
All firewalls are off as far as I can tell, and again, this all connects properly if I use the Netgear router. I cannot find a setting on the Linksys that would cause this problem.
