cannot print adobe file off internet

By Casemaker ·
Hi,
I went to a website that has some useful information that I would like to print. I click on the link and it opens in Adobe PDF format. I cannot print or copy and paste the information. I would like to be able to print so I can read and condense the information to only what I think is pertinent to me. How can I do this? I have Adobe Reader the free version 6 on my pc.
Thanks

What print error are you getting? I don't believe there is a way for PDF files to block printing, but I could be wrong!
As for copy/paste, that is correct. You can't copy from a PDF and paste it into something else.
Anyway, so what print error do you get?

Even in a protected Acrobat Document, your reader should still have the 'save to disk' icon (floppy disk icon). And the printer icon. (Not FILE>SAVE AS).

When you save the dosument, you can save AND open it as a rich tect format.

Without the full Acrobat (which somes with Acrobat Distiller) you will have limited manipulation available. Acrobat Distiller, can actually pull these pages as fully editable straight from the website, along with any linked pages if needed.

Joseph, Acrobat actually has a phenominal set of protection and collaboration features included. I good aithor will be familiar with these tools and will use them to block saving, printing and manipulating a PDF. However, this is mostly ignored unless in an important collaboration across a WAN or VPN for example.

Hi,
The document has a lock symbol at the bottom right. I click document properties and all security features are set to no. The document is a system optimization list that I found and wanted to print it and compare it to what I use with my business.
thanks
