Cannot setup my outlook profile

I reinstalled my laptop from win2k pro to ms office2k sp2. Our exchange server is located remotely. My laptop belongs to a different subnet but I can ping both the IP and hostname of our exchange server.

When I click the “check name” button in the General Tab of Exchange Server dialogue box, I am getting the error message “The name cannot be resolved. The operation failed.”

I tried setting up my profile in another computer and I can easily setup my profile there. Appreciate all your help here as I do not like to reinstall again the whole computer for the Nth time 🙂

Here is laptop configuration:
OS – Win2k Pro
MS Office 2000 SP2
