Canon printer and smartphone WiFi connectivity problem

I am using a smartphone and with that a (link removed by moderator) canon mg2922 printer. But when I am trying to connect via WiFi between printer and smartphone it's not able to connect. If anyone knows the solution then please let me know.

not to include a Link as this site tags the post and needs someone to look at it to make sure that it is not another add.

As for your question as you did not mention the make and model of the Smart Phone I can not help you but any directions from Cannon will need to include the Operating System of the phone as Apples and Samsung Phones use different Operating Systems and the directions are different. The same applies if you have a Windows Phone the directions for Windows IOS and Droid are all different so you really need to read the help files that come with the phone.

I'm not 100 percent convinced this is a legit question

I removed the link then re-enabled the question. The link may have been to a legitimate support site, but it did not look like it to me, since I have a very similar model of Canon printer! To get any device to connect to the WiFi on a Canon printer, the driver must be installed on the device first. The software may be downloaded from the actual Canon website
