Make sure you have File and Printer Sharing installed and that you have a drive, folder, etc shared. If you are not sharing any data, you will not show up in Network Neighborhood.
Yes - as the previous poster has referred to, you'll need to make sure the following is set up:
File and Print sharing in the network properties of your PC. If your client is Windows 2000, you'll have to check the properties on the active Network Adapter on the PC.
You also may need to verify that the domain admins have not included code in the login script that turns of your machine-name broadcasting to the rest of the domain (LMAnnounce) -
If you do have File and Print sharing turned on, irregardless of my second point, you should be able to access resources on your PC from another one (pending your security for your shares are correct) by typing '\\PCname\share' or even just '\\PCname' and hit [Enter] from the run-line of a network participating PC in the same domain.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
