I’m a Student doing my practical hours at a corporate IT company. I’ve been assigned the task to set up a DNS Server. I have everything configured, but the client workstation I’m trying to join to the domain on the server keeps giving me the error (An Active directory Domain Controller(AD DC) for the domain “TestServer.co.za” could not be contacted.) – Even though they can ping eachother.
DNS Server IP : 169.254.162.136
Subnet mask : 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 169.254.162.1
Client PC IP: 169.254.42.7
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 169.254.162.136
Been struggling for a while, If anyone can give me advice, it would be much appreciated.
